North Summit Outfitters is proud to offer premier late-season Canada goose hunts in the heart of north central Illinois—right in the sweet spot between our cooling lakes that keep open water available all winter long. These thermal power plant lakes act like magnets for big geese, holding massive groups of migrators well into the late season when other areas freeze up.

We hunt smart and stay flexible: daily feeds in cut cornfields in A frames or layouts, comfortable pits in high-traffic zones, or whatever setup the birds and weather dictate for the best shot at success. Our goal is simple—put you in front of big, wary late-season flocks. Expect high quality decoy spreads, seasoned guides, expert calling, and the thrill of watching big late season honkers committing feet down!

Though we don’t currently have a lodge located in Illinois, there are many nice Airbnbs and hotels in the area to accommodate your group comfortably during your stay.

What to Expect

• Heated pits or blinds for comfort in the coldest conditions

• Hunts are in January

• 1/2 day hunt Morning or Afternoon depending on bird patterns

• Premium fullbody decoy spreads

• Professional guiding with daily scouting

• Skilled retrievers

• Bird Cleaning is not included but can be added

• $225 a day per person
